Introducing FormBuilder.govt

FormBuilder.govtis a new tool created by government for government. It lets council and agency teams create accessible online forms quickly without needing technical knowledge.

When coupled with the Business Connect platform, it makes the digitisation of business-facing government services fast and efficient.

The recent Rugby World Cup showcased the benefits of FormBuilder. If hospitality businesses needed to extend their trading hours to screen matches, they could complete a form on Business Connect created using FormBuilder.

This is the first time a national digital process has been put in place for hospitality businesses to use during a Rugby World Cup. It took just 10 hours to build and test the service which can easily be reused for future major sports events.

We’re reducing the burden on businesses to have to search out information like match times and local contact details as well as manage different notification processes across councils.

The online form pre-populates match times and business information. Once it’s been completed by the venue, the form is automatically directed to the relevant council and police contacts. For police and councils, it means all the information they need is provided straight away, in a standard format.
