Westpac has been serving New Zealanders since 1861 and is today one of New Zealand’s largest banks, employing more than 4000 staff and serving more than 1.3 million customers. Westpac provides a full range of retail and commercial financial services to households and businesses. These services are delivered through more than 120 bank branches nationwide, an extensive network of ATMs, a locally based call centre, and a suite of mobile banking applications. Westpac is also the main banker of the New Zealand Government, a relationship they have held since 1989.

Sponsorships and fundraising: Westpac has supported rescue helicopter services for more than 35 years through a variety of sponsorships and runs an annual fundraising drive led by staff.
Living wage employer:In 2019 Westpac became New Zealand’s first bank and largest corporate organisation to become an accredited Living Wage Employer.
Gender equality and climate change:Westpac strongly advocates the need for greater gender equality in leadership and the case for taking early action on climate change. In 2020 they became the first Toitū carbonzero certified bank in New Zealand
